On September 13, the third season of 90210 premiered on the CW. In this season, the students at West Beverly High are in their senior year, and the scandals seem to be getting a bit ridiculous.

There wasn’t much fluidity from the end of season two, with singer Javier turning into a jerk and being killed off randomly in a car crash. Adrianna steals a book of songs off of his dead body in order to help her music career, which will expectedly lead to scandal. And, Teddy’s character is put in an uncomfortable situation with Silver, leading many viewers to the conclusion that Teddy may be coming out this season.

Ivy and Dixon’s “relationship” takes a turn, with Ivy’s new friend, Oscar, whom she fantasizes about. Oscar is actually involved with Ivy’s mother, and seems like he is going to try and connect the love triangle. Annie and Liam hook up after a summer without communication because of Annie’s house arrest. Finally, in an attempt to hide the fact that she was raped by Mr. Cannon at the end of season two, Naomi turns “promiscuous” and attempts to throw herself at three different guys while drunk.

The season premiere was pretty bananas but it set up nicely for a crazy and exciting season, no matter how ridiculous. 90210 is now on Mondays at 8 on the CW. Grade: C
