Fall Weight Lifting Club Is Open to All

The Fall Weight Lifting Club starts at 2:30 p.m. right after school on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. It ends at 4 p.m. It’s a great program for athletes preparing for the next season of the sport they play or for anyone who just wants to lift weights, run and get in shape. Wrestling coach Mr. Matt Smith said, “The Fall Weight Lifting Club is welcome to anybody. I would suggest my wrestlers to come as well”.

The club employs a wide variety of exercises including bench press, squat, power cleans, and their main exerise, plyometrics. Smith said, “Tuesdays are plyometrics and conditioning days, Wendsdays are upper body days (bench press, shoulder exercises, arm exercises, etc.), Thursdays are lower body days (squats, power cleans, lungs, etc.). Smith wants to get the word out that anybody is welcome and that it can be a great way for anyone to improve.
