PNC Virtual Wallet Offers Banking to Students

Though most working high school students make minimum wage, it is important to have a way to safely deposit and save your money. Not all banks are friendly to teen’s small accounts, but PNC Bank has created a teen friendly banking option called PNC Virtual Wallet.

Your account can be viewed from your cell phone (iPhone or Android) using the Virtual Wallet app. The app has a calendar that you can program to show when a paycheck will be deposited, when a bill needs to be paid, and it shows you the balance of your account every day. Red triangles on the calendar signal danger days, when you’re balance is low. You can also set up individual wish list for items to save money for. To obtain what you are saving for, you can send a set portion of each deposit to the wish list automatically to avoid spending the money that you want to save. Using the app, you can transfer money to other PNC accounts and move money from your savings to your checking with a click of a button.

PNC has done an amazing job creating a great tech friendly, teen friendly bank account that even the least financially illiterate worker can understand. You can budget, save, and know your financial status wherever you are.
