Minority Scholars to Visit Howard

Howard University

Every year, the Minority Scholars get together and plan a club field trip based around their culture. On April 11, the group will be visiting Howard University in Washington D.C., the first historically black university in the country.  “We are going on this field trip because I want to expose membership of the higher advantages and opportunities of a higher education,” said Ms. Debbie Wilson, the advisor. The field trip will benefit the group by showing them what college life is like and also informing them about the financial aid that is offered for minorities. The group will be able to tour the school, buy lunch, and visit the student center.
