Review: The Hangover Part II

HangoverThe long anticipated sequel, The Hangover Part II, was released May 26.  The sequel brought high expectations, and they were indeed met. The plot of the movie is basically the same as the first, which makes it slightly predictable. Stu is getting married, and his wedding is in Thailand. Stu (Ed Helms), Alan (Zach Galifianakis), Phil (Bradley Cooper), and Doug (Justin Bartha), known as the Wolfpack,  reunite and experience yet another night they don’t remember.  They travel all over Bankok searching for clues in hopes of finding Stu’s lost brother-in-law, Teddy.  Their adventures include a high speed car chase, a possible murder, shootings, and many other unexpected twists that keep you guessing until the end.

Unlike the first movie, the second one does not have any one liners that are very memorable. The movie is full of fresh jokes that are sure to keep you laughing throughout. Zach Galifianakis definetely makes the movie, and is even funnier in this one. His reactions to the events, along with the dumb comments he makes, are hilarious. This is a movie you will want to see with your best friends, and not with your parents. TheHangover Part II is rated R and includes strong language, sexual content including graphic nudity, drug use and brief violent images. It is definitely for an over 17 audience. Grade A
