Christina Aguilera and Cher are two famous females, but like many artists before them they became old news after a while. The movie Burlesque hit the big screens recently, and the soundtrack should put them back on people’s radar.

The CD contains mostly songs sung by Christina Aguilera, but it does feature two songs by Cher – “Welcome To Burlesque,” and “You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me.”  Even with her small space on the CD, Cher leaves her mark. Aguilera has definitely taken on a new edge with this spicy Burlesque music in contrast to her popular pop songs like “What a Girl Wants.”

What really sets the soundtrack apart is the song “Beautiful People,” a remix of the version done by Marylin Manson. Here they change the lyrics up a bit and add a dance kick to it. Well done. Grade A+
