Review: The New iPod Nano

NanoNanoApple recently released the latest version of the iPod Nano, and this time around, the differences are more than a few software tweaks and the addition of a camera. Apple has adopted the multi-touch system many customers are familiar with from the iPod Touch. The new Nano takes the shape of a square with a 1.5 inch touch screen.

Although the new iPod doesn’t support apps like the Touch does, it is still set up in a similar fashion, with four icons on each virtual page. You can easily listen to your favorite songs by syncing with iTunes, or you can listen to the radio, a feature new to the Nano series. Also new is a built-in clip so users can attach their iPod onto their shorts or sleeves while running. Another feature which might interest athletes is a built-in pedometer which can track the number of steps you have taken any given day.

The new iPod sure looks cool. If it can live up to it’s expectations, people might find themselves wanting to give it a little touch. Grade: A-
