Review: Travie McCoy’s Lazarus

TravisMcCoyTravie McCoy, the lead vocalist of the popular alternative band Gym Class Heroes just released his second album as a solo artist.  The album is titled Lazarus and contains 13 tracks.  Several songs feature popular artist including T-Pain, Bruno Mars, and many more.

The album offers variety and decent vocals from McCoy.  No two songs on the CD sound the same and every song offers something different that contributes to the success of the album.  The bonus track, “She did it,” will not add to the success of the album because the chorus is annoying due to the added effects edited into the song

Lazarus should find success mostly because of the featured artist and unique songs.  This album will definitely appeal to anyone who is a fan of Gym Class Heroes or McCoy’s first solo album, Billionaire.  It will probably not bring in many new fans. Grade: C+
